Loggy the Lawyer

I am the only member of the family who calls her "Loggy". I don't know but that childhood prank has turned into an endearing petname for my one and only sister, Buenas Aires Celi (Oo nga no...ganda ganda ng pangalan...Loggy tawag ko hehehe). Please dont ask me where Loggy came from and you will just not understand. You have to be a Calumpang Kid to know it.

Loggy is the precious jewel of our brood. Being the only girl, she has a lot of perks from us and our parents. Yet, Loggy has never been the girly-girly type (although shes dying to be one), she was born into a strong and resilient family which has instilled to its young the virtues of dedication, hard work, perseverance and academic excellence. Our parents have told her stories of struggles that has started from our forefathers who were just simple folks. They just did not stop working hard. Like Lolo Kayo who religiously went to church every day to ask the Almighty how he can feed his children because he was just a lowly carpenter. Or how the 5 Dela Cruz boys have struggled and came out as outstanding men of our province.

Maybe Loggy like the rest of us were thoroughly inspired. Maybe it was deep and great admiration of his oldest brother who is a mighty Atenean lawyer (well...maybe). Out of the blue, she decided to abide with my father's command and grand plan: a brood of 6 - 3 lawyers and 3 doctors...simply put. So after she finished her ho-hum course at Assumption College in San Lorenzo Makati (did I tell you Loggy has an inner desire to be "girly-girly"), she took the dive and enrolled herself at the Colegio de San Agustin Law School in Iloilo City. You may ask why take law in Iloilo when her two Atenean brothers can very well insert her in the august halls of the Rockwell Law School. Well, Loggy opted to take law near home as she studied alongside two chores. At the same time she was memorizing those latin maxims, Loggy was head teacher of her own Montessori School and Assistant Manager of our family bank in Guimaras. Hell yes! This young petite lady is a explosive canon. She is just marvelous.

Loggy, you are one of a kind. Congratulations! Ever wonder why this oldest brother has danced like crazy last New Year's Eve and during the Ati-atihan....well..now you know.
